A Glee-ful Talent Show

CALLING ALL GLEEKS!! The cable network, Oxygen, has just come out with a new reality TV series based off of the hit FOX show, Glee, called “The Glee Project.” The purpose of The Glee Project is to find the newest member of the Glee cast. Like many other reality TV talent shows, this contest began with open casting call auditions. After the judges dwindled down 40,000 talented contenders to the top 12, the real competition began!

With the focus of each episode being on a different element of Glee, each week the contestants are being challenged in a different and exciting way. A key component to the search of the next star of Glee is that in this competition, the judges are seeking out young adults who are unique and confident in themselves. There are no two contestants alike and each talented person has something different to offer the hit series. Ryan Murphy, the writer of Glee, plans to construct an entire role specifically around the personality of the winner of this contest.

The Progression of a Print Shoot

From the pre-shoot to the finished product, here is a pictorial look from behind the scenes of a print shoot, to the finished product.  As it turns out this became a feature in the Central Florida Lifestyle magazine.  

Two of our talent: Tibor Bako and Jody McNeil are featured in this 5 page spread, with some awesome shots by Steve Graffham, photographer, with styling provided by Tamara Kohler and Kate Collins supporting the talent with hair and makeup.  All clothing provided by Neiman Marcus.

BEHIND THE SCENES…

After more than 200 pictures taken of the talent, below is the final result of many hard working people, coupled with many hours paring down from 200 pictures to 5, and formulating and positioning the text to round out a premier holiday piece… now the reveal!

Matt Kuchar and Will MacKenzie have tried to convince Mack Dalton to switch golf balls. Dustin Johnson and Rory Sabbatini have personally handed Dalton new clubs to try. Many of the recreational players who make tee times each week at GolfNow.com have done so at Dalton’s suggestion, and there’s no question that some of those players have purchased new equipment based on Dalton’s feedback.

You may not recognize the name, but if you watch a lot of golf on television, you probably know the face.

Mack Dalton is a 25-year-old actor who has found consistent work in advertisements for major golf manufacturers and retailers. He’s the kid you see in the Dick’s Sporting Goods ad, warping from the golf department into the parking lot (with Johnson) and then onto a freeway billboard (with Sabbatini). He appeared alongside Kuchar and MacKenzie in those Bridgestone Challenge commercials, admitting that he gained yardage over his previous golf ball. Dalton was also the ‘hack\’ who couldn\’t get out of the bunker in a GolfNow.com ad, and was once tapped as a tester for the Golf Digest Hot List. READ MORE….
